According to a report from Proper Manchester on April 2nd, the latest research by Go Smoke Free reveals that Greater Manchester dominates the rankings as the E-Cigarette Capital in the UK.
Researchers from the organization compared the population sizes of various cities in the UK with the number of active tobacco retailers to compile a list of the top ten E-Cigarette Capitals in the UK. The survey shows that four areas in Greater Manchester were nominated.
According to the research, Blackburn, with its 27 e-cigarette retail stores, is ranked as the E-Cigarette Capital of the UK. The city, with a population of 119,707, has 22.56 e-cigarette stores per one hundred thousand residents, the highest figure among UK towns. Following Blackburn is Bolton, located in Greater Manchester, with 41 e-cigarette stores serving its 202,369 residents, equating to 20.26 registered e-cigarette stores per one hundred thousand residents. These cities may see significant changes in their e-cigarette culture, as the ban will influence consumer behavior, and existing e-cigarette retailers will adjust their products to comply with the new regulations.”
